DE-CLUTTER....DIWALI IS ALMOST HERE!!!
Hey all!
Its October already....can you belive that..???? Time flies so fast....and now the festivities are lined up and their will be celebration time again.... Navratris, Dusshera, Dhanteras, Diwali, Bhaiya dooj....all lined up... ohh gosh... Their is soooooooooooo much too do and soooo little time.. In India here we have a ritual of cleaning up our houses thoroughly before Diwali because its a saying that Goddess Laxmi comes and showers her blessings in your home only if it is clutter-free(this is what I was told)...I have sweet memories of how my mother used to include me in all the Diwali cleaning...I was usually given my closet and study table to clean...and all the dusting thingie that I hated... So every year cleaning and de-cluttering starts a month before Diwali... We discard some stuff and buy some new stuff... And with Diwali comes a lot of shopping...yeahh...one of the reasons I love this festival..So here I am sharing with you all some de-cluttering tips we (me and my fab mom) follows:
So buck up guys,....Those days are back again.
(How do you de-clutter...do tell me in the comments section)

And with Diwali comes a lot of shopping...yeahh...one of the reasons I love this festival..So here I am sharing with you all some de-cluttering tips we (me and my fab mom) follows:
- Make a list of things to do(clean/de-clutter) for that day. Prioritize the list.
- One thing at a time- Follow this rule...eaither take up one room at a time, or one thing(ex. fans, switch boards, lights, windows, doors, closet etc).
- Discard the thing that has not been used since 6 months...It really is of no use to you...Donate it.
- Spend 5 mins vizualizing the room..It will help you in de-cluttering.
- Reward yourself with something beautiful for every room you de-clutter.
- Divide and Rule: Make partitions in drawers and cupboards, this will help you store more.
- Complete each task completely.Dont leave any thing half way, complete it before taking up anything new.
- First clean and de-clutter and then buy something for your home. Dont do the vice-versa.
- Try re-cycling stuff that is not much of use, ex.You can use jars from your kitchen to grow plants.
- Use small cartons/shoe boxes to store the stuff that is not in much use everday.
So buck up guys,....Those days are back again.

NEW BEGINNINGS
Hola people!!
Looks like autumn is the "IT" season for our kitchen garden when we get loads of organic veggies straight from our backyard... It is such a wow feeling...plucking the fruits from your hands feels so much fulfilling....you grow them and nurture them and finally eat them hehe....whaattt.... they are meant to be eaten na.... anywhooooo we are already getting a kg of sponge guard every third day and now several other veggies are having new beginnings...and very soon we will be enjoying the veggies straight from our garden to our plates(not literally......I meant only after the cooking process is over )... hehe.... Have a lookie at our backyard where we are growing spinach, beans, cauliflower and brinjal presently..... Grow fast lovelies is what I say to them daily...
And ya one mystery plant is also growing.... of which we dont have any clue...gardener says that this is pumpkin growing.....but I ask HOOWWWW?????????.... we never ever sowed pumpkin seeds or for that matter never ever bought pumpkin seeds.... but how cute it would be if it is actually pumpkin...
Eagerly waitin....

ROOMIES
Hey all,
The winters are slowly setting in and we can already feel the nip in the temperature here in Gurgaon...How excited I am ..I mean.. I just love winters...reasons being infinite...From several hot cuppa of coffee, cozyness of the quilt, soups, hot noodles, jackets, mufflers, boots, coats, fake smoke from your mouth...hehe, smell of winters, soaking in the sun,bar-be-ques,christmas,loathing on the clothes....and what not...But what ihate dont like about them is that the ambience inside the house seems so gloomy and dull..... Anywhoo that does not mean we will sit and let that happen....NO WAYS....when we have those greens with us, no winter can ever fall upon us.
So this winter too, my roomies will going to be my greens....or is it the other way round....my greens will going to be my roomiess....whatevaaa
Here are some greens that I am planning to get inside:
Money plant
Palm
Arcaria
Succulents
Cuttings from our garden
There are so many more options, but alas all my other plants are outdoor plants.... But thinking of investing in some gorgeous small succulents this time.
Apart from these, I will also be getting colorful gorgeous flowers in to go GAGA over these winters.
MUCH LOVE
