Hey!!
Went to Dilli haat today with my fab mom. Awesome ethnic jewellery, lovely terracota stuff, kantha cushions and bedspreads, carved wooden boxes and photoframes, ceramic cups and bowls, colorful bangles and leather satchels, windchimes, brass figurines, kohlapuris, colorful jute bags, paper flowers, oil diffuser and insence holders.....aah what else....a lot more than that.. bought a lot of stuff...coming up soon on the blog!Have a lookie at some of the pics.

OHH MY DEAR!!

Hola people!

Meet my lovely darling, my DEAR-est....my "Dear-Key holder". He came to my life one fine day when I went to dilli-haat. He was sitting at one corner calmly and I was standing there on the other corner...he saw me...I saw him...we both saw each other...it was love at first sight for both of us.... he said in his sweet voice "Take me home" and I just nodded...just couldn't say NO to him....He is such a sweetheart...he sits pretty on the wall and carries all the keys...without ever saying a word...our love is beyond words.

THRIFT WONDER

Hey all,

Today I am sharing with you all, a wall art that was a thrift buy from a shop here in Gurgaon.... Now this wooden marvel was meant to be placed at the entrance when it was bought.... it was not in such condition to be put it inside because of its withered rugged looks...then we decided to paint it.... and black was the ultimate choice...although gold would have also looked awesome,but anywhoooo.... and after the paint and all finishing,....it is hanging pretty in our living room....I think it was destined to be inside the house.

MERE DO ANMOL RATAN

Hey all,

You know my love for greens, and when I saw these two micro-mini planters on my visit to Dilli Haat few months back.... I knew then and there that they were going home with me. It was love at first sight for me. These looked damn cute and were super cheap...20 bucks each... But later I thought why did I bought only 2 of these.....I mean I should have bought atleast 10 of these in different colors. Anywhooo, I bought these in maroon and bottle green colour, but due to watering the color got faded. It was looking dull so I just wrapped it in jute. These two usually sits outside, but occasionally finds a place inside the house....Have a look.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Love this elephant... actually there are total of 6 elephants in here

(four walking near the feet on both the sides,and one baby elephant sitting inside the jaali and one big one).

This wooden carved elephant is also a cheap find.

Greens in the Kitchen

Hey all,
I am starting this post with a quote :

I think most of us (not the mean materialistic ones..who would be rather happy to have a tree made of gold in their backyards) would agree with Sir. Martin Luther. I truely believe that a house without greens (i mean the plants) is never complete and lacks that spark,warmth, freshness and earthy-ness.
 
Green as we know is the color of the nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility and has great healing powers too (what else do you want).It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance. I soo much like  love this colour that every corner in my house has a green. Here I am putting up some pictures of the greens in my kitchen.
